The Ford Kuga has been specially created to combine elegant
styling and tough capability, all driven by choice of Petrol, Diesel or efficient Plug-in Hybrid
power. Refined, contemporary design on the outside. Adaptable, versatile
space on the inside. The best of everything in one package
Petrol - The 1.5-litre EcoBoost engine is offered with 120PS and 150PS has a combined fuel consumption of between 41.5 and 42.8 MPG and CO2 emissions of between 126 to 130 g/km supported by Ford’s industry-first cylinder deactivation system for a three-cylinder engine. The technology can automatically stop one of the engine’s cylinders when full capacity is not needed, such as when coasting or cruising with light demand on the engine. Cylinder deactivation can disengage or re-engage one cylinder in 14 milliseconds – 20 times faster than the blink of an eye – with no compromise in performance or refinement.
Diesel - The 190PS 2.0 litre EcoBlue engine has a combined fuel consumption of between 46.3 and 47.9 MPG and CO2 emissions of between 127 to 129 g/km. Fuel-efficiency is enhanced using an integrated intake system with mirror-image porting for optimised engine breathing and low-inertia turbocharger. A high-pressure fuel injection system is more responsive, quieter and more precise. Standard selective catalytic reduction emissions after-treatment contributes to improved NOX reduction. Ford’s 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel engine is offered with 120PS and has a combined fuel consumption of between 40.9 and 52.3 MPG and CO2 emissions of between 109 to 119 g/km.
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control keeps you travelling at a speed you choose. If the built-in RADAR sensor detects a vehicle ahead, it slows your vehicle to maintain a safe distance. Then, once the road is clear, the system automatically accelerates back up to the chosen speed. Add that to the Lane Keeping System, which helps prevent unintentional drifts over the lines, and those long journeys become even more enjoyable.
The Kuga’s Ford EcoBlue Hybrid diesel option incorporates a small electric motor with a 48-volt battery to help improve engine efficiency. This is a Mild-Hybrid Electric powertrain, which cannot be driven solely on electric power. Instead the electric motor provides additional support to the combustion engine when needed, helping both to increase your vehicle mileage, and reduce emission figures.
There is no need to connect the vehicle to an external power source, as the separate 48-volt battery pack which powers the electric motor is recharged while you drive.
Kuga’s advanced Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) technology combines a battery-powered electric motor with a 2.5-litre Duratec petrol engine. The hybrid battery can be recharged at home or public charging stations. Energy recaptured while braking also helps charge the battery as you drive. Fully charged, the Kuga PHEV can drive up to 35miles††on electric power alone, and a total hybrid driving range of up to 465miles.
The Kuga is now available with a built-in FordPass Connect* modem, bringing you a whole range of new features that elevate your journeys to the next level. Get 4G LTE Wi-Fi†† for up to ten devices, send destinations straight from your phone to your in-car navigation, and get real-time traffic updates‡‡ along the way. Advanced remote features let you control and monitor your All-New Kuga from wherever you are too; use your phone to locate your vehicle, lock and unlock the doors, and even start the engine remotely to warm up your car on cold days.
The Kuga is designed to be ready for anything, with a dynamic new interior design that gives you ultimate freedom, and adapts to every journey. Need more boot-space for a big trip or prefer the luxury of extra leg-room in the back? Flexible rear seating slides forward or backward to suit your needs, so you have no trouble packing anything you need.
